Why do I need to have my license Active?
According
to Florida State Chapter 475, to practice real estate in the state of Florida one must have a current and active real
estate license. In order for a real estate license to be active it must be listed under a broker. If a license
is not listed with a broker, it is considered inactive by the DBPR.
What is the
penalty for practicing real estate with an inactive license?
Practicing real estate
with an inactive license is committing a third degree felony. This crime is punishable by up to five years
in prison and up to a $5,000 fine.
What makes Florian Realty different
from other real estate brokerages?
In a traditional setting a real estate
brokerage is a member of a local board. All boards require every agent associated with that firm to pay to become
a member. Florian Realty is different because we don't belong to any boards, therefore our agents are not forced
to endure that expense.
How do I know if I am a good candidate for Florian
Realty?
Florian Realty has been a great solution for many agents. We
understand there are many ways someone can make money in real estate without actually working in a traditional fashion.
Listed below are just a few examples of how some are using their license through Florian Realty.
*
Referrals * Commercial Real Estate * People who are working primarily in a different career that lends itself to
real estate leads. * Some just enjoy an inexpensive way to stay active just in case a real estate opportunity
becomes available
There are many ways to work in real estate without needing the services of a local board.
Florian Realty was created with that in mind.
Can I refer to anyone I want?
Yes,
you are free to refer to any real estate agent you would like.
Can I still write contracts even if I am not on the board?
Yes, as long as you have a valid active Florida real estate license you can write a contract.
Can I still list property for sale if I am not on the board?
Yes, you can contract with a seller to sell their property provided they sign a MLS waiver so they understand
their house will not be on the local MLS.
Can
I still use the MLS?
No, Florian Realty Group, Inc. is not associated with any boards so any
of it's agents would not be permitted to join.
I
live far away from your office, can I still join?
Yes, that
is one of the great advantages of joining. Because we do all of our business via email, fax, and phone it doesn't matter
where you live. All that matters is having a valid current Florida real estate license.
Will I still have access to a Broker?
Yes, a Broker is available
by email, fax, and phone. Just call the office and a Broker will get back to you as soon as possible.
What if my needs change and I need to join a board?
In order to be a member of a board the company you work for has to be a member as well.
Since Florian Realty Group, Inc. is not a member of any boards you would have to change companies. However, depending
on where you live our sister company Sandals Realty may be able to help. You can check it out at http://sandalsrealty.com.
Can you tell me more about your company?
Florian Realty Group, Inc. is located at 1567 Hayley Lane,
Suite 205, Fort Myers, FL 33907. Our local number is (239)274-3669. Florian Realty is lead by two brokers, Ernesto
